    Summary

The Marshall Community Foundation is a partnership of endowed funds established by individuals and organizations. A Board of Trustees, comprised of local community leaders, invest the pooled endowments. Income generated is then available for grants that address charitable needs in our community. Staff and trained volunteers monitor the grants to ensure fulfillment of the grant agreements.

The Marshall Community Foundation administers more than 100 endowed funds, some of which are restricted to specific purposes in accordance with the donor's wishes. The Marshall Community Foundation awards grants from the Unrestricted and Field of Interest Funds each year for innovative projects and programs that respond to the community's changing needs. Grants are intended to be a flexible local funding opportunity that can rapidly respond to community needs.

    History of Funding

The Marshall Community Foundation has given a total of $538,657 in grants in the year 2016. Over the past 23 years the foundation has awarded over $6.3 million in grants.
