The Robotics League Participation grants program is designed to facilitate participation in robotics competitions for students in grades 6 through 12.
This grant program is not new, but was converted from a one-time grant for the 2017-18 school year to an ongoing grant program, under 2017 Act 59.

Eligible teams of pupils in grades 6-12 from school districts or charter schools established under section 118.40 (2r) and (2x) and home-based private education private education programs may submit one or more applications.
This grant requires that the organization sponsoring the robotics competition be a nonprofit corporation as described under s 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service.
Applications are to be submitted by 11:59 pm on October 21, 2022, through the department's webpage at http://dpi.wi.gov/stem/grants/robotic-league. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
For 2022-2023 a total of $500,000 was available in funding. The maximum award is $5,000. The grant period begins July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023. The grant requires 100% matching funds. The funds are to be an actual dollar amount. In kind contributions are not considered a dollar-for-dollar match.
