    Summary

    Through the Heritage Program, the Fireman's Fund awards grants to fire departments and fire and burn prevention organizations to support firefighters for safer communities. Heritage Program grants can be used to purchase needed equipment, firefighter training and community education programs.  Grants are awarded in three ways:

    1. Employees - Fireman's Fund employees can nominate local fire departments and non-profit fire and burn prevention organizations for grants.
    2. Agents - Independent insurance agencies and brokers that offer Fireman's Fund products can direct grants to fire departments based on the growth of their business with us and other eligibility criteria.
    3. National Fire Service Programs - Fireman's Fund awards funds to help create national programs that improve safety and reduce firefighters fatalities.

    Deadline Details

    Grants are awarded on an ongoing basis throughout the year. There is no application process or deadline. Fire departments are encouraged to complete a survey at: www.firemansfund.com/heritage.
