    FM Global offers fire grants to organizations working to combat fire. Fire departments and brigades, as well as national, state, regional, local and community organizations can apply for funding to support a wide array of fire prevention, preparedness and control efforts, including pre-fire planning, fire prevention education/training and arson prevention/fire investigation.

    • Salaries, consultants, etc.
    • Vehicles and modifications to vehicles (fire apparatus, automobiles, off-road vehicles, trailers)
    • Building projects (new or renovations, fire alarm systems, fire protection systems)
    • Equipment or training related to fire suppression (PPE, apparatus, jaws of life, etc.)
    • Drones and associated equipment
    • Fire extinguishers and fire extinguisher training systems
    • Equipment for incidents related to hazardous material
    • Carbon monoxide detectors
    • CPR equipment/training
    • PPE for fire investigators, including clothing
    • Inflatables
    • Thermal imaging cameras
    • Natural hazard related equipment

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are any organization or agency around the world that supports fire prevention. Additional terms and conditions may apply for applicants based in the United States, Canada and other countries.

    Deadline Details

    Applications open on September 2 at 12pm EST and will remain open until 300 applications are received. 

    Award Details

    Number of awards vary. There is no limit on how much funding applicants can apply for but this grant program is designed to provide seed money to help support fire prevention, preparedness and control efforts. There is no cost sharing requirement.
